Highgate Hill House School pupils celebrate end of term with Easter Egg-stravaganza
Pupils at Highgate Hill House School, a special educational needs school at Whitstone near Holsworthy, celebrated the end of term with a series of outdoor learning and Easter egg themed games.
Joined by family members, the children took part in a photo Easter egg hunt, a scavenger hunt, a tractor competition, den building, and even had the opportunity to make snake bread around a fire pit.
Despite the damp weather, much fun was had by all and the event was a fitting way to mark the end of another successful term at the school.
The afternoon finished with pupils receiving certificates to celebrate their hard work, improved attitude, and 100% attendance.
Head-teacher at Highgate Hill House School, Vicky Skelton, said: “Our staff put in an incredible amount of effort to ensure that the children and their parents had fun, but also learnt something along the way. Our pupils also got involved with planning the day, and even arranged for two tractors to come all the way from Chagford. Events like this make me so proud of our school and children”.
Founder and School Director, Sir Peter Birkett, added: "I'd like to thank all of our pupils and staff for their hard work this term, and wish everyone a relaxing and well-deserved break over Easter".
