Highgate Hill House School, an independent, co-educational school for children with special educational needs aged 5 to 16 years, near Holsworthy, has been shortlisted for an award at a prestigious national awards ceremony, which will be held in London in February next year.

The school has been shortlisted for the ‘Special Needs Initiative of the Year’ award, which aims to recognise a project that has helped children with special needs to fulfil their potential and learning outcomes.

The 2019 Times Education Supplement Independent School Awards will be held on 1st February at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, at a black tie ceremony with more than 400 guests expected to attend, including government ministers and many of the great and good from the education sector.

Sir Peter Birkett, School Founder and Director, said: “We are delighted that the great team effort of the children and staff are being recognised in this way – we truly believe that through our positive personalised learning approach we will achieve our mission that is to ensure all our students are happy, successful and reach their full potential. We eagerly await the awards ceremony in February!”
