Highgate announced as finalist at prestigious independent schools' event

Highgate Hill House School, a co-educational school for children with special educational needs aged 5 to 16 years, near Holsworthy, has been announced as a finalist at the ISA Awards 2020.

Highgate Hill House School has been announced as a finalist in the ‘Outstanding Provision for Learning Support’ category, alongside two other schools - LVS Hassocks and St David’s College.

Headteacher Gina Wagland, said: “Having a high staff to pupil ratio and working in much smaller class sizes means that learning support for us as a school is a really big deal. We have multiple Learning Support Assistants in each classroom at any one time, so that we can provide personalised support to meet individual pupil needs. We often start working with a child at home to make the transition to school life easier and more natural”.

Sir Peter Birkett, School Founder, added: “I am both excited and delighted that Highgate Hill House School has been shortlisted for the ISA Award for Outstanding Provision for Learning Support. I would like to thank all the staff, whose dedicated work has made this possible”.
